Our Mission Platform Bed is good for the environment in more ways than one. It's built with solid rubberwood that's been sustainably harvested, minimizing waste and providing new trees in place of those felled. And its clean, simple, striking mission design - available in two go-everywhere neutral finishes - fits easily into both modern and traditional bedrooms. When you factor in optional under-bed storage possibilities and a range of sizes, this bed becomes more than a bedroom's centerpiece - it becomes a bedroom's must-have.
This clean, classic bed is crafted with mortise-and-tenon joinery and durable, eco-friendly rubberwood harvested at the end of its latex-producing life cycle. Side rails are constructed of MDF or plywood, and the entire bed is finished with a high-build, five-step finishing process - including two color coats and multiple sealers - to ensure an even, beautiful, lasting finish. Choose deep brown antique walnut or honey-colored caramel latte, both warm, natural shades that highlight the wood's grain. The bed's open, slatted headboard is topped with squared crown molding that measures 44L inches and neatly offsets either an open-design or solid, flat-panel footboard. You can choose two or four optional panel-front storage drawers finished in coordinating shades. They'll slip easily underneath the bed to catch seasonal clothing, toys, and spare linens. The headboard and footboard connect to the side panels with an innovative hook-and-pin system that allows you to set the frame at two heights. Two metal pins are embedded in the headboard and footboard at two positions, and the side rails are outfitted with hook-shaped hardware that slides into place over the pins. Set the bed high for use with our optional storage drawers or set it low for use with a mattress only. Please note that panel footboard is only included when you order drawers; bed only options come with an open footboard rail.
